Rev. Dr. Lisa D. Robinson is the Senior Pastor of Christ Church United Methodist in Paterson, New Jersey. She joined the Christ Church family in July 2024, bringing extensive experience in ministry and a heart for community transformation.  A native of New Jersey, and an MDiv graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, she dedicates her life to bringing a global message of faith, hope, justice, and love to those seeking a closer relationship with God. Raised in a loving family, she firmly believes that only what she does for Christ will last. 

Dr. Robinson holds a Doctorate in Social Justice and is passionate about empowering congregations for service and spiritual growth. With a rich background in pastoral leadership, she guides our congregation with wisdom, compassion, and a commitment to our mission of introducing generations to Jesus Christ. Dr. Robinson has shared the Word of God in the US, as well as in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.

Throughout her ministry career, Dr. Robinson has been known for her dynamic preaching, having a heart for the lost, and dedication to building strong communities of faith. She believes in the power of God to transform lives and is committed to creating an environment where all people can encounter God’s love and grace.

Under her leadership, Christ Church continues to serve as a spiritual, cultural, and social anchor in the Paterson community, maintaining our tradition of warm hospitality and meaningful ministry that has blessed our community for over 50 years.
